Marsden Park Amenities

This standout architectural project for the region is a structurally complex 3-dimensional bolted and welded, curving, branching steel frame with significant cantilevers and feature bronze mesh suspended underneath. Steelwork connections are refined to be concealable within cover plates and to allow for buildability/levelling issues on site.

In-house testing of mesh prototypes was evolved and undertaken by MM Structural Engineering in order to finesse support details. Off form, rippled concrete amenities blocks include bespoke steel sliding doors and benches/furniture internally
