Happy Birthday Marrickville Town Hall

Marrickville Town Hall turns 99 years old this month. We recently had the privilege of doing a full structural measure up, design analysis check and load capacity review of the steel truss roof on this old dame. An interesting moment in the history of steel construction circa 1922. Upon close inspection you can pick that the connections are a mix of hot rivets installed in the workshop or on ground, with steel bolts then placed to finalise the joint upon install. Great to work with Inner West Council on this heritage structure.
